The County Department of Consumer Affairs has launched a new service. Beginning now, the office has inaugurated a system that will estimate real property tax plus other non-tax charges a new owner will pay in the first full fiscal year of ownership. All anyone has to do is enter an address into a box to have the charges computed. Click here to check it out.

The County has announced a new discount prescription drug card plan that will help County residents save money on prescription medications. Notices has more.

The Community Outreach Program of the Department of Public Works and Transportation has published an updated version of its “Resident’s Guide to Services.” This brochure lists more than 85 of the services offered by the department. From potholes to streetlights, bus shelters to bikeways, you will find useful telephone numbers and email addresses that let you get right to the office responsible for handling your public work issue.
